Angel’s Stadium opened its doors in 1966, and is considered to be the fourth oldest stadium behind Fenway Park, Wrigley Field and Dodgers Stadium. Before the Angel’s took full custody of the stadium in 1995 it was shared with the re-welcomed Los Angeles Rams. Although the Los Angeles market is seen more a Dodgers market. The Angels have been here long before the Dodgers were. The Angel’s formerly known as the California Angels, were once apart of the Pacific Coat League as a minor league team. These California Angel’s played at Wriggly Field located in Los Angeles, California. Although the Los Angeles Wrigley Field was demolished in 1969, this gave the Angels the opportunity to open the place we know as Angels Stadium. We begin our trip by traveling to a city where the sun is always shining and is home to the happiest place on earth. Anaheim, California, where the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim reside for half the major league baseball season. Baseball in Anaheim is huge and is seen as a way to bond and spend time with family and friends. Angel’s Stadium, located in the heart of Downtown Orange creates a strong and cozy environment for any baseball fan. Parking: Although traffic on the local freeways to Angel’s Stadium can cause anyone a headache, finding parking around the ballpark is a breeze. Parking around the stadium is no farther than a block away and can be purchased for the awesome price of $10 to $15. This ranks low on our ballpark pricing chart, which is typically $15 to $25 for parking. Food: During my time at Angel Stadium finding food was an experience in itself. Angel Stadium is home to so many different restaurants with a wide variety of styles. During my time at Angel’s Stadium took my taste buds to “SPUDS” which is located on the field level on the third base side. At Spud’s I indulged myself in their amazing Carne Asada fires, which have a set of seasoned fries, carne asada, cheese, sour cream and pic de gallo. These fries were very tasty and is a great food choice, if you do not want to eat something heavy on the stomach. *** Sharable for Two Entrance and Tickets: If you’re expecting a long line to get in the stadium, then you have came to the wrong stadium. Angel’s Stadium offers multiple entrances to enter the ballpark and make arrival to the game easy and hassle free. As for ticket pricing, we at Around the Ballparks would recommend StubHub. StubHub offers great seats for cheap prices, especially if you decide to purchase tickets way in advance of game day. Experience: Overall Angel’s Stadium offers an amazing experience for any fan that choose’s to attend this ballpark. The park is filled with a young demographic averaging the 21 to 35 years of age, which creates for positive vibes around the ballpark. Although Angel’s Stadium welcomes the young demographic, Angel’s Stadium offers an amazing experience for the families, they offer group deals which include the “Trout Farm” a special designated seating area that hold’s tribute to the Angel’s amazing center fielder Mike Trout. Angel’s Stadium also offers interactive game promotions, their most famous one would be the “ Rally Monkey”, which is a figure that represents the Angel’s making a push to tie or regain the lead in a game. During my time at Angel’s Stadium, I encountered amazing people, who love the sport of baseball. We spoke about the players, coaches and different ballparks. These conversations really made the experience more memorable for me and made me feel I was apart of a community rather than just a causal fan. I find creating relationships with people around you is important in making the game more memorable and this is what Angel’s Stadium provides.
